The annual arts festival is still going ahead this year, just in a slightly different format

what's going on and when is it happening?

Holmfirth Arts Festival is all set to return this weekend, and organisers have been hard at work to ensure a full weekend programme can be enjoyed.

It will run from this Friday September 18th until Sunday the 20th as an online event, with a donate by text system in place, with punters able to donate in quantities of either £5 or £10.

The festival will run from 7.30pm - 8.15pm each evening, with access through the Holmfirth Arts Festival Facebook page, YouTube channel and website.

As ever, there will be a mix of musical concerts, theatre and comedy, and also keep an eye out for Your Nuts in the virtual "Recycled Forest" tour which will feature art projects from local school children, who created displays of trees from recycled paper during lockdown.

It's huge credit to everyone involved that they have been able to pull together one of Holmfirth most hotly anticipated events in such difficult circumstances, but without usual ticket prices, they are in need of donations now more than ever to ensure the future of the festival.
